Leonardtown is 0-5 against the Eagles since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Leonardtown Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the North Point Eagles at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Leonardtown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
Leonardtown unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak. They fell 59-49 to St. Charles.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Elijah Miller, who scored 18 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Windell, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, North Point lost to the Braves on the road by a decisive 66-52 margin on Wednesday.
Leonardtown's record is now 10-5. North Point's record now sits at 6-9.
Leonardtown suffered a grim 59-37 defeat to the Eagles in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Leonardtown, Andre Brooks (who scored 20 points along with three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
