With a playoff game on the line, the Roosevelt Mustangs rose to the challenge on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Wolverines out 2-1. The win was familiar territory for Roosevelt who now have five in a row.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Mia Goettsche and
Juliette Gomez, who scored both of Roosevelt's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 20 so far this season.
Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 20-4-1. As for Harvard-Westlake, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5-4.
Roosevelt will take on Hart at TBD on Wednesday. Hart will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Roosevelt surely won't give up without a fight. Harvard-Westlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
