The Wasco Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Shafter Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wasco is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Wasco can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Taft 4-1.
Wasco hit Taft with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Anahi Ocampo (2),
Giselle Torres, and
Arianna Bernal.
Meanwhile, Shafter earned a 3-1 win over Kennedy on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Shafter.
Wasco is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7-3 record this season. As for Shafter, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9-2.
Wasco was able to grind out a solid victory over Shafter in their previous matchup back in January, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wasco since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
