The Penn-Trafford Warriors have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by McKeesport at home and fell 64-37. Penn-Trafford has struggled against McKeesport recently, as their contest on Monday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Penn-Trafford still got an impressive performance from Olivia Pepple, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. That was a full 51.4% of Penn-Trafford's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Pieper, who scored three points along with two blocks.
Penn-Trafford's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for McKeesport, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.
Penn-Trafford will head out on the road to square off against Greater Latrobe at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Penn-Trafford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday. As for McKeesport, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Connellsville at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. McKeesport is coming into the contest with ten straight wins at home, so Connellsville is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
