The Forest Park Panthers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Alcovy Tigers at 5:55  p.m.  on Wednesday. Forest Park is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a three-game streak of away losses.
 Last Thursday, Forest Park earned  a  13-9 win over Lovejoy.
  Jacoby Hendricks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out seven batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Hendricks has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Hendricks was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Terrance Pree, who  got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and a  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Kaleb Harper, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile, Alcovy beat Rockdale County 6-3  on Monday. The  victory was just what Alcovy needed coming off of  a  13-3 loss in their prior  game.
  Cooper Duncan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks.
 On the hitting side, Alcovy's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Kris Ross, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
 Forest Park's record is now 6-10. As for Alcovy, their record now sits at 8-6.
 Forest Park came up short against Alcovy when the teams last played  back in April of 2023, falling  9-6. Can Forest Park avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
