A Season-Best Effort from Adrian Sauceda Leads Pace over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest
On Friday, Pace got the W thanks in part to Adrian Sauceda playing the best football he has all season. Sauceda rushed for 281 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 148 or more in the last seven games he's played.

Eddie Slovak posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 236 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Slovak is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 110 every time he's taken the field this season.

Elijah Trevino produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Edcouch-Elsa to the win on Saturday. Trevino rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 51 yards.
Trevino must have Porter's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Trevino threw for 286 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground the last time he and the Cowboys duked it out back in October of 2023.
