The St. Patrick's Irish's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They fell 50-42 to Perkins County. St. Patrick's was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Perkins County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Kailee Potts continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Perkins County, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Potts' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ella Homan, who scored nine points along with three steals.
St. Patrick's bumped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Perkins County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Patrick's won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cozad on January 6th. Cozad has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Perkins County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sutherland at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Sutherland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 two weeks ago.
