The Cleveland Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Granada Hills Charter. Cleveland lost against Granada Hills Charter in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-20 score last time.
Granada Hills Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karma Paez led the charge by scoring 18 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brigita Bulotaite, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Cleveland's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 10-9. As for Granada Hills Charter, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cleveland will take on Birmingham at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Birmingham presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cleveland in California (Birmingham is ranked 67th, while Cleveland is ranked 329th). As for Granada Hills Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against El Camino Real at 5:00 p.m.
