The Oaks Christian Lions posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 55-30 margin over Agoura. Given Oaks Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 481st, while Agoura is ranked 994th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Oaks Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Presley Kushner, who scored 27 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kushner has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Pendergraft, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Oaks Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Agoura, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Oaks Christian will head out on the road to face off against Calabasas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Jocelynn Townsend and Andrea Woodward. Agoura won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Sherman Oaks CES at 10:30 a.m. on January 13th. Sherman Oaks CES will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
