The Central Catholic Raiders will square off against the St. Mary's Rams at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Central Catholic barely beat Pioneer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Central Catholic blew past Pioneer 14-8 on Wednesday. The Raiders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Will Magni looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February.

At the plate, Hudson Walker and Broden Thomas did most of the damage at the plate: Walker went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Thomas went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Walker a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Kiesel, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Meanwhile, St. Mary's entered their tilt with West on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Wolfpack get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly 15 runs.
Jeremy Krause looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Brady Errecart was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for St. Mary's: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Alex Escalante also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
St. Mary's kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.8.
Central Catholic's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for St. Mary's, their record now sits at 6-4.
