The Kehillah Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 43-22 walloping at the hands of Pacific Bay Christian. Kehillah was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-4.
When it comes to explaining why Kehillah lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ariella Sheppard. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That was a full 72.7% of Kehillah's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Liav Salamander was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.
Pacific Bay Christian found their leader in underclassman Avery Lin, who scored 16 points along with five assists and two steals. Lin also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Savanna Munds, who scored 12 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Kehillah's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pacific Bay Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kehillah will take on Summit Shasta at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Summit Shasta has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 288 points over their last four matchups. As for Pacific Bay Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Design Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Design Tech is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
