The Tyrone Golden Eagles lost against the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Tyrone took a serious blow against Bellwood-Antis, falling 48-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tyrone has scored all season.
Bellwood-Antis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chloe Hammond out in front who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Lilly Gerwert was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Tyrone's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bellwood-Antis, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Tyrone will head out on the road to face off against Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellwood-Antis won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Penn Cambria at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. Penn Cambria is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
