There's no place like home for the La Quinta Aztecs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  back in December of 2023. They took down Los Amigos 35-18  on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for La Quinta, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Leading La Quinta to victory were  Kaitlyn Mai and  Katelyn Vo.  Mai  scored nine points along with five  rebounds and four  steals, while  Vo  scored 12 points along with four  steals and two  blocks. Another player making a difference was  Chloe Luong, who  scored five points along with two  steals.
 Despite the loss, Los Amigos still got an impressive performance from   Sophia Boyer, who  scored eight points along with 11  rebounds and two  steals. Boyer hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Los Amigos  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only  an  assist. They  were crushed by their opponents in that department as La Quinta  racked up nine  assists.
 La Quinta has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for Los Amigos, they bumped their record down to 5-9 with that  defeat, which was their sixth straight  on the road.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Quinta will  challenge Loara at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Los Amigos, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Rancho Alamitos at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Rancho Alamitos is coming into the  matchup on a three-game losing streak.
