The Chichester Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 43-13 loss at the hands of Upper Merion Area. Chichester lost against Upper Merion Area in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-17 score last time.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Upper Merion Area to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devon Maiden, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Olivia Smith, who scored four points along with 15 rebounds and four steals.
Chichester's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Upper Merion Area, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Chichester will head out on the road to face off against Plymouth Whitemarsh at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Plymouth Whitemarsh's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Chichester's offense will have their work cut out for Chichester. Upper Merion Area will be home for the holidays to greet Pottstown at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
