After three games on the road, Central Catholic is heading back home. They will take on the East Union Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 755th, while the Lancers are ranked 138th).
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Central Catholic, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-43 loss to the Timberwolves. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Catholic in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, East Union strolled past the Mustangs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 47-31.
Central Catholic's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-15. As for East Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.
Central Catholic was dealt a bruising 65-36 loss at the hands of the Lancers in their previous meeting back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Central Catholic was down 42-15.
