The Morse Tigers will challenge the Coronado Islanders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morse will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Morse is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Lincoln on Thursday as they made off with a 20-7 win. Considering the Tigers have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Alyssa Truby made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Truby was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Those four runs gave Richards a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abby Okita, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Morse hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 13 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Coronado fell victim to Mission Bay and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 1-0. The Islanders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Coronado saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Munoz, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Morse's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Coronado, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-7-1.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Morse hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .397. However, it's not like Coronado struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Morse was able to grind out a solid win over Coronado in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 12-7. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Islanders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
