After a string of ten wins, South Hills's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Crescenta Valley Falcons by a score of 7-6. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in May of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Diego Villarreal made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

South Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Crescenta Valley, their win bumped their record up to an identical 20-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Hills will venture away from home to challenge Alta Loma at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crescenta Valley, they will head out to face off against Glendora at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 2.9, the Tartans 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
