Wasco is on a seven-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), the Cougars a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Wasco Tigers will take on the McFarland Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
Last Thursday, Wasco was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 44-43 to the Tigers.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Camila Almanza, who scored 14 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Karly Perez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything went McFarland's way against the Thunderbirds on Thursday as the Cougars made off with a 64-42 victory.
Wasco has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season. As for McFarland, their victory bumped their record up to 6-20.
Wasco might still be hurting after the 68-46 defeat they got from the Cougars in their previous meeting back in January. Will Wasco have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
