Last Monday, Brockway beat East Forest/West Forest by the very same score they won with last week: 48-31. The win made it back-to-back wins for Brockway.
Brockway's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kalina Powell, who scored 11 points along with six steals. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for Powell. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Schmader, who scored three points along with 16 rebounds and six assists.
Even though DuBois Central Catholic has not done well against DuBois recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. DuBois Central Catholic breezed by DuBois at home to the tune of 57-23. That 57-23 margin sets a new team best for DuBois Central Catholic this season.
Brockway now has a winning record of 3-2. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Brockway might still be hurting after the 50-30 loss they got from DuBois Central Catholic in their previous matchup back in January. Can Brockway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
