Softball Recap: Greenbrier Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Emanuel County Institute, Greenbrier was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Vidalia Indians 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolfpack have posted since August 13, 2024.

Greenbrier let Sophia Griffin and Josie McQuillan run wild. Griffin went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while McQuillan went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ava Hamilton, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The victory got Greenbrier back to even at 1-1. As for Vidalia, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Greenbrier will face off against Briarwood Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vidalia, they will challenge Loganville Christian Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
