Washington County had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. Everything went their way against the East Laurens Falcons as they made off with a 9-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Golden Hawks, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Washington County pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for East Laurens, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington County will host Southwest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Hawks are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for East Laurens, they will challenge Treutlen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
