Video: Top 10 Games of the WeekBergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) at St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio)
Saturday, 1 p.m. Eastern timeWhy it's big: On Saturday afternoon, Bergen Catholic will try to bounce back from its first loss, while St. Edward will try to build on one of its biggest wins of the season.
No. 22 Bergen Catholic (2-1) dropped two spots in this week's Xcellent 25 after a 59-47 setback last week to No. 10 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.). After trailing by 21 points at halftime, the Crusaders scratched their way back into the game. Senior quarterback
Jarrett Guarantano completed 30 of 38 passes for 379 yards and accounted for five total touchdowns.
St. Edward (3-1) avenged its only loss to an Ohio opponent last season with a 31-20 win over previously unbeaten Elder (Cincinnati). Senior
Cole Gest fueled the Eagles' attack with 120 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns, including one from 56 yards out.
Names to watch: Guarantano is the top-rated dual-threat quarterback in the Class 2016, according to 247Sports. The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder is a four-star prospect committed to Tennessee.
St. Edward had seven seniors on last year's Division I championship team receive scholarship offers from FBS colleges. However, Gest (Indiana) is the lone FBS recruit thus far in this year's Eagles' senior class.
