This season hasn't been kind to the El Primero Lobos, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 38-19 to Harbor. The contest was a 11-11 toss-up at halftime, but El Primero was blown out by Harbor in the second.
Harbor can attribute much of their success to Keili Carriere, who scored 12 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Carriere has scored at least 25% of Harbor's points. Another player making a difference was Malalai Etamadi, who scored 7 points.
El Primero's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Harbor, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Primero will take on Latino College Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Latino College Preparatory Academy and El Primero are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Harbor, they will play host again and welcome Marina, where tip off is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Marina will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1184th, while Harbor is ranked 510th).
