Foothill is a perfect 10-0 against Enterprise since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Foothill Cougars will square off against the Enterprise Hornets at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Enterprise will be up against a hot Foothill squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Foothill's pitchers stepped up to hand Hamilton a 15-0 shutout on Saturday.
Kayden Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Williams was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Will Baker was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Connor Modesitt was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Foothill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Enterprise, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Fall River 10-0 on Tuesday. Considering the Hornets have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Enterprise got a massive performance out of Garrett Hixon, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. The dominant performance gave Hixon a new career-high in RBI. Nick McKellar also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Foothill's record is now 3-0. As for Enterprise, their record is now 3-4.
Enterprise's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Foothill has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .479. It's a different story for Enterprise, though, as they've only averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Foothill's hitters?
Everything went Foothill's way against Enterprise in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Foothill made off with a 10-0 win. Does Foothill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Enterprise turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
