The Central Mountain Wildcats lost against the Penns Valley Area Rams back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Central Mountain fell 35-25 to Penns Valley Area.
Despite the loss, Central Mountain had strong showings from Keely Rohrbach, who scored four points along with seven rebounds, and Camdyn Weaver, who scored 11 points along with two steals and two blocks. Weaver is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.
Leading Penns Valley Area to victory were Kayla Hopkins and Ellie Romig. Hopkins scored four points along with five assists and two steals, while Romig scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Central Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Penns Valley Area, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Mountain will square off against Jersey Shore at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Jersey Shore focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday. As for Penns Valley Area, they will head out on the road to face off against Bald Eagle Area at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bald Eagle Area is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
