Granada Hills Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Karma Paez led the charge by scoring 12 points along with three steals. Paez hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Emma Perez, who scored three points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
The victory got Granada Hills Charter back to even at 8-8. As for Taft, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Granada Hills Charter will head out on the road to face off against Chatsworth at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Chatsworth is ranked 231st, while Granada Hills Charter is ranked 213th). As for Taft, they will be playing at home against Cleveland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
