Halifax's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Savage, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds. Cameron Zimmerman was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Tri-Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cassie Huntzinger, who scored 16 points. That was a full 39% of Tri-Valley's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Miller, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Halifax's victory ended a 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Tri-Valley, they bumped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Halifax will take on Newport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Newport is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Tri-Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Weatherly at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Weatherly is ranked 655th, while Tri-Valley is ranked 650th).
