It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Rockwall-Heath Hawks had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-42 win over Sachse. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Sachse's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brenden George, who threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. George has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendon Haygood, who rushed for 220 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
The win (which was Rockwall-Heath's sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.3 points per game. As for Sachse, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Rockwall-Heath will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Duncanville at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Duncanville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 487 points over their last ten matches. Sachse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
