The South Pontotoc Cougars''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against Byhalia by a score of 14-6.
Despite the loss, Byhalia saw an underclassman step up: CJ Wilson threw for 145 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.7% of his passes.
South Pontotoc's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Byhalia, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
South Pontotoc will head out on the road to face off against West Lauderdale at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. West Lauderdale is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. Byhalia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
