Baseball Recap: White County's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

White County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Chestatee War Eagles 14-1. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 10-0 win on Thursday.

Josiah Padgett made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Padgett was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cooper Garrett was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Carter Nguyen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

White County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

White County's record is now 13-8. As for Chestatee, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
