Ellinwood had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 38-0 win over the Syracuse Bulldogs. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Austin Brack had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 185 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Those 185 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Luke Heinz was another key player, rushing for 61 yards and one score on only five carries.
