The Eagle Rock Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sylmar 67-29 on the road. Eagle Rock might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matches by 22 points or more this season.
When it comes to explaining why Sylmar lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mia Ceja. Despite the final result, she scored 25 points. The match was Ceja's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Eagle Rock is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Sylmar, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Eagle Rock won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Arleta at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Aaliyah Serpas and Brooklyn Romero. Sylmar is on the road again on Friday and play against Crenshaw at 4:30 p.m. on January 5th. Crenshaw knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Sylmar likes a good challenge.
