Brookstone took an 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Lakeside School, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Chiefs 4-3 on Thursday.

Brennan Neal made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Neal was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Neal wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Luke Lowery, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Brookstone now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lakeside School, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-2-1.

Brookstone wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Evangel Christian on the 6th. As for Lakeside School, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-0 victory against St. Anne-Pacelli on the 6th.
