The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Kamdyn Berry was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Berry was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most triples she has posted since back in August.
In other batting news, Maddie Bond was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Larkin O'Stasik, who went 1-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Bishop Kelley's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for McAlester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.
