Baseball Recap: Tucker Wins Going Away Against Lithonia

While Tucker put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Lithonia. The Tigers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Eli Walker was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1. He is becoming a predictor of Tucker's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 6-17 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Robert Robinson was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Tucker is 4-2 when Robinson posts two or more runs, but 4-16 otherwise. Alec Waller was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

Tucker's record is now 8-18. As for Lithonia, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Looking ahead, Tucker will face off against North Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lithonia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stephenson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
