The Mt. Ararat Eagles will square off against the Camden Hills Windjammers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Ararat's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Camden Hills' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Mt. Ararat is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Mt. Blue on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-5 win. Considering the Eagles have won nine contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tyler Thibeault was a standout: he went 4-for-6 with six RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Davis, who went 4-for-5 with four runs and two RBI.
Mt. Ararat always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .608. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Camden Hills hadn't done well against Skowhegan recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Windjammers won by a run and slipped past the River Hawks 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Windjammers have posted since May 12, 2025.
The team relied heavily on Cole Hedrich, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Camden Hills' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Carter Campbell, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Mt. Ararat is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Camden Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Camden Hills' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mt. Ararat hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. It's a different story for Camden Hills, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Mt. Ararat's hitters?
Mt. Ararat beat Camden Hills 6-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Windjammers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
