After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kings Christian, the Coast Union Broncos were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They breezed by Maricopa at home to the tune of 47-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-0.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aby Beltran, who scored 4 points. Beltran is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marlene Moreno, who scored 2 points along with 5 steals.
The victory got Coast Union back to even at 1-1. As for Maricopa, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coast Union will face off against Greenfield at 5:00 p.m. on December 14th. As for Maricopa, they will head out on the road to face off against Shandon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
