Softball Recap: Central Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

Central's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Griffin Bears get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Griffin, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coming up, Central will venture away from home to face off against LaGrange at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Griffin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
