While Weed's victory against Burney wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Weed skirted past Burney 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-5 on Tuesday.

Weed's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braeden Cordes, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Weed has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.5 runs this season. As for Burney, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Weed and Burney will both be playing Dunsmuir the next time they take the field. Weed will head out to face Dunsmuir at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Burney will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on the 31st.
