The West Point Pointers lost against the Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Point fell 48-41 to Carver College and Career Academy.
Ianaisia Washington continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Carver College and Career Academy, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Washington scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Sykes, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Carver College and Career Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Point's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northumberland at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Northumberland is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Carver College and Career Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Mathews at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
