Virginia High School Basketball - Carver College and Career Academy nips West Point

January 26, 2024: Chester, VA

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Carver College and Career Academy Wolverines (Chester, VA) and the visiting West Point Pointers (West Point, VA), saw Carver College and Career Academy's basketball squad hold off West Point by a count of 48-41.

With the victory, Carver College and Career Academy upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Mathews (Mathews, VA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 4-15.

Next up, the Pointers play the Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. West Point will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 31-22 league loss to Lancaster (Lancaster, VA).
