Baseball Recap: Mar Vista Comes Up Short

Mar Vista saw some tournament action on Monday. They came up short against the Bellflower Buccaneers, falling 9-3.

Mar Vista saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aden Duran, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Nico Perez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Mar Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bellflower, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

Coming up, Mar Vista will be taking part in a tournament against San Dieguito Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bellflower, they will host Elsinore at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
