The North Hills Indians will be playing at home against the Shaler Area Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Hills will be strutting in after a victory while Shaler Area will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though North Hills has not done well against Fox Chapel recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. North Hills simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fox Chapel 52-19 at home. The victory was just what North Hills needed coming off of a 48-17 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Shaler Area's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Erie by a score of 42-40. While losing is never fun, Shaler Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Erie is ranked 118th).
North Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Shaler Area, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
North Hills beat Shaler Area 45-37 in their previous matchup on January 3rd. Will North Hills repeat their success, or does Shaler Area have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
