The Golden Valley Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 53-25 loss at the hands of Valencia. Golden Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-11.
Valencia found their leader in underclassman Cara McKell, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. The contest was McKell's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Oxciano, who scored ten points along with three blocks.
Golden Valley bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Valencia, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
Golden Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against West Ranch at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valencia, they will head out on the road to face off against Hart at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
