The Etna Lions had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Tulelake 54-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Etna also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.
Several Honkers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was McKenna Fine, who scored nine points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Perez, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Etna's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Tulelake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.
Etna will be playing at home against Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Trinity focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. Tulelake won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Butte Valley at 4:00 p.m. on January 5th.
