Softball Recap: Therrell Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Therrell hadn't done well against Washington recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Panthers blew past the Bulldogs 18-3. Considering the Panthers have won eight contests by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Therrell's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.6 runs over those games. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Therrell will welcome Arabia Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Washington, they will host South Cobb at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
