The Arvin Bears won the last time they faced the Foothill Trojans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Arvin secured a 38-32 W over Foothill. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Arvin.
Arvin found their leader in underclassman Jackeline Hidalgo, who scored six points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Hidalgo has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Soto, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Arvin's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Foothill, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arvin will take on Mira Monte at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mira Monte has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. As for Foothill, they will head out on the road to challenge Golden Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Golden Valley is on a five-game streak of home losses, Foothill a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
