Clovis managed to slip by Buchanan the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars came up short against the Bears on Wednesday, falling 10-3. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Clovis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dayne Williams, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Clovis' loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Buchanan, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

While Clovis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
