Make it eight blowout wins for the Arvin Bears this season. They breezed by Lone Pine on the road to the tune of 58-19. The victory was just what Arvin needed coming off of a 63-28 defeat in their prior matchup.
Emily Soto was her usual excellent self, scoring ten points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Roxana Fernandez, who scored five points along with four steals.
Arvin has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Lone Pine, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Arvin will head out on the road to square off against Bakersfield at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing isn't great for Bakersfield: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Arvin has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Lone Pine will take on Golden Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
