After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Santa Clara, Fremont was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Monta Vista Matadors as they made off with a 9-2 win. The Firebirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Fremont pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Monta Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Fremont will challenge MacDonald at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Firebirds are facing the Condor at the right time seeing as the Condor are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Monta Vista, they will head out on the road to take on Saratoga at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
